From knowledge to wisdom

A place to read, write and apply to life

At the Narden Library, reading and writing find the calm to express wisdom. And wisdom, unlike knowledge, is its application to life.

Knowledge can also be a tool of care.

Why books

“Ever since I was a child, I have loved books. In them I found refuge and growth. I studied with books found in the rubbish to get into the state technical school and find a better job that would allow me to study psychology. Books have always given me so much.”
Dott.ssa Jaqueline Alberti
Founder of Narden

The Narden Library was born from this story: it is a way of giving back to others what books gave her.

Space to write

Read, write, draw and feel

All the books, board games and therapeutic journals sold at the Narden Library have space for writing and drawing mind maps: so readers can organise what they are learning and players can express what they are feeling.

Books
Pages and margins for notes, reflections and mind maps.
Board games
Space to record and express what you feel during the game.
Therapeutic journals
For writing, drawing and organising thoughts and emotions.

Games that bring people together

Educate, stimulate and bring people together

In a technological age when people are increasingly distant and lonely, with less attention and memory, a board game is an invitation to sit together, talk and exercise the mind.

Educate
Psychoeducation you learn through play.
Stimulate
Attention, memory and other cognitive functions.
Connect
Couples, families and groups around the same table.
