Mental health institute
A garden for the mind, where science and well-being meet.
Where science, care and human development grow together.
The idea
The mind, like a garden, needs knowledge, care and the right conditions to grow.
The Institute
Narden brings together, in a single ecosystem, clinical care, continuing education for professionals, research for public and private organisations, supervision with experienced professionals through groups that develop analytical thinking, and the exchange of human-development experiences. Its purpose is to turn scientific knowledge into human care that can improve the lives of people and professionals.
Our work is guided by a commitment to science, evidence-based practice and a vision of mental health that integrates technical knowledge, human care and personal growth.
Bringing together the theoretical science of universities and the knowledge built in clinical practice, and turning them into what people need to understand and care for their own minds.
Who it is for
For those who want to deepen their knowledge and practice in mental health, behaviour and neuroscience.
Scientific content, courses and human experiences that produce high-quality psychological knowledge for those who want to understand their own mind better, in practice, develop psychological skills and look after their mental health.
Branches: The pillars of Narden
Every branch grows from the same root: science, ethics, care and human development. Choose where to begin.
One tree, many branches
Each professional who joins the institute can have their own identity and field of work, but remains connected to the same root: science, ethics, care and human development.
Science, research, ethics and knowledge.
Practice: what turns knowledge into care.
The different professionals, fields and paths that grow from the same knowledge.
Better-prepared people, more skilled professionals, shared knowledge and transformed lives.
Who is at the origin
Psychologist · Neuropsychologist · Psychotherapist
Jaqueline Aparecida Alberti de Sousa · Founder of Narden
Work in mental health, neuroscience and applied behaviour, with clinical, outpatient and hospital experience in different settings and countries.
Her practice is guided by a transdiagnostic and functional perspective: understanding the psychological mechanisms involved in suffering and the processes that maintain it, and then choosing strategies supported by the best evidence, taking into account each person’s characteristics, needs and goals. Her international and intercultural experience has given her the ability to work with different cultures and ways of understanding mental health.
Narden was born from this path, but it was designed to grow beyond its founder. Today other psychologists are part of the clinical team, while the founder increasingly devotes herself to education, research, supervision and the development of the institute.
