Three days in the Tuscan hills with a psychotherapist and neuropsychologist specialising in complex trauma and neurodivergence. You learn evidence-based tools (DBT, CBT, mindfulness) and take them with you into everyday life.

  • Dr Jaqueline Alberti, psychologist and psychotherapist registered in Italy (Albo no. 11988) and in Brazil (no. 06/1234-38)
  • Master’s in Neuroscience and Behaviour; clinical training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy

What it is

It is not just a retreat. It is a psychotherapeutic experience.

An intensive three-day programme that brings together group psychotherapy, neuroscience, mindfulness, body practices and hands-on activities in nature.

Using evidence-based methods, we will work on the ability to recognise, understand and regulate emotions, turning psychological knowledge into skills you can use every day.

Does this sound like you?

If at least one of these happens to you often, this retreat was designed for you.

  • You feel overwhelmed even by small things.
  • Your mind won’t stop: you ruminate and make life harder than it needs to be.
  • Your emotions go from zero to a hundred, and afterwards you feel guilty.
  • Sometimes you feel too much. Other times it seems you feel nothing at all.
  • When emotions get intense, you freeze, shut down or feel the need to get away from everything.
  • You have a critical inner voice that never lets up.
  • Your body is always tense, on guard, even when nothing is happening.
  • You are neurodivergent and handling stimuli, emotions and everyday demands can be especially tiring.
  • You wake up already tired, as if you were just surviving.

You know the techniques, but in the critical moment you can’t use them.

You have read, you have tried, maybe you are already in therapy. Then the emotion rises, your mind shuts off and the techniques disappear. It is not a lack of willpower: when the nervous system is on alert, what you know in your head is not enough. You need to have practised it in your body, calmly, in a safe place. That is what we do in these three days.

What you take home

Four concrete things that stay with you after Sunday.

Understanding what happens to you

You learn to recognise when you leave your “window of tolerance”, the zone where you can feel emotions without being swept away by them.

Tools for moments of crisis

Grounding, breathing and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy skills to get through an intense emotion. Practised in the body, not just explained.

A routine that holds

Small “when… then…” habits tied to moments of your day. No anxiety-inducing goals: only what you can really do.

Relationships that support you

Meaningful bonds of support and friendships born from sharing three real days with people who understand what you are going through.

“What you became in order to survive is not all that you are. Here you can find yourself again.”

The method

Science meets experience.

Understand

Neuroscience and psychotherapy

We learn to recognise how emotions, thoughts, behaviours and bodily responses interact.

Experience

Body and environment

Through yoga, grounding and activities in nature, we explore ways of paying attention, body awareness and regulating arousal.

Integrate

DBT and experiential learning

We use concrete skills to face intense emotions and bring them into daily life.

The programme

Three days, at your own pace. Every activity is offered, never imposed.

From Friday at 2 pm to Sunday after lunch.

Frequently asked questions

Before you decide

Do I need to be in therapy already?

No. The retreat is open to everyone, including people who are not in therapy. It does not, however, replace individual psychotherapy when that is needed.

I’m not comfortable in groups.

The group is small and every activity is offered, never imposed: you can always choose to observe. Nobody has to introduce themselves to the group on the spot.

I don’t drink alcohol.

Choose the option without wine. There is grape juice at the winery, and the visit is optional.
